Huyen Do
Graduate Student | Aalto University

Hi, I’m Huyen
You can also call me Emma. When I was a child, I admired Hermione in the Harry Potter series, and since the actress who played her is Emma Watson, I chose the name Emma. Like Hermione, I’m a lifelong learner with curiosity and a strong passion for learning.
I studied Quantum Technology for my Bachelor’s at Aalto University, and now I’m continuing with a Master’s in Computer Science, focusing on Quantum Computing. My primary interest is on fault-tolerant quantum operations and the development of tools for optimizing error-corrected quantum circuits. I am immersed to the intersection of theory and practical engineering in making quantum technologies scalable and reliable. I also have a strong interest in high-performance computing, especially in optimizing for accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
I like to approach problems with persistence and a clear analytical mindset. To me, science is a disciplined pursuit, grounded in logic, experimentation, and continuous refinement. It is about asking not only “Does this work?” but also “Why does it work?” and “How can it be improved?”.
